Joan Miro uses forms and colors direct, to make his world of invented objects. He says of his own work "I make no distinction between painting and poetry". Hemingway said of his work that it contains everything that one feels about Spain when one is there and everything that one feels when one is far away and cannot get there. Nobody else could paint two such different things. "Painting"/1953 (above) Press image to return to "ABSTRACT ART" SHOW 2012 |
